My microwave died last year when I was living in Cali (have since moved to Boston). My landlord at the time recommended I call Universal Appliance Service as that is who he uses for all his appliance repairs. The tech was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and fix my issue in no time. Best part was how clean he was. You would have never known someone was there, other than the fact that I had a working microwave again. A++

I called a few months ago to request service for a Viking Range.  I found Universal Appliance on Google and saw they had over 20 good reviews.  So, like usual, before I try any new business out I looked on Yelp to see reviews.  Like usual, Yelp did not disappoint!  I spoke to a courteous man on the phone, and a promptly a professional service technician was at my house.  He gave me a reasonable estimate and did the job on the spot.  My oven is still working great.  I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them for all my appliances!

Absolutely fantastic! I had a huge family gathering planned at my house for a Saturday night. Well, on Saturday morning, as I got started with the cooking, my range decided to quit on me. What a nightmare! I had almost two dozen people driving in. As I started to panic my  husband took the matters into his own hands. He called several appliance service companies in our area, but to our dismay everybody was booked solid at least until the evening. That’s when my hubby called the folks at Universal Appliance Service. They were very courteous on the phone and thankfully were able to send out a repairman within an hour and a half.

mike zaretsky came out with the replacement part for my GE gas oven, within 24 hours of our initial phone contact. his price for the repair was $341. with tax. the last quote i got was for $500. he was very kind and courteous. he did the repair quickly and left my kitchen immaculate, even putting away the utensils that had been moved to facilitate the work. i would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Knowledgeable technician who quickly diagnosed the garbage disposal problem and repaired. Honest service, on schedule and provided instruction on future repair if re-occurs.

Mike is the only repair guy you will ever need. He has fixed several appliances for me. Prompt, clean, polite, and knows it all.

I found this company through Service Magic.  Immediately after submitting my request for service, I received a call from Universal Appliance Service.  The person who took my information listened attentively as I described the problem I was having with my refrigerator and was able to send some one over within hours to check it out.  The serviceman that came by to inspect my refrigerator was polite and professional.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained it to me.  He was amenable to negotiating price and I was given a a receipt after work was complete.  Should my refrigerator break again, I will call Universal Appliance to fix it (if I don’t decide to chuck the damned thing instead).

My freezer was broken and I needed service right away. With the first phone call, the problem was diagnosed (correctly) and they were here within 2 hours. The freezer was fixed and cleaned and everything was back in place in much less than 1 hour. He took the time to explain the problem and the solution and made suggestions to diagnose future problems as well as maintenance to prevent them. They made my life easier, were quick, efficient and professional.

It didn’t even take 5 minutes after I completed the service request form last night before Mark called me to set up an appointment. The technician (Igor) arrived right on time, diagnosed the problem, quoted the price, acknowledged the discount and had our dryer FIXED in under 15 minutes! Now that’s great service. Igor was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He was easy to understand, didn’t speak ‘geek’ and had a good sense of humor too. Would we use Universal Appliance again? You betcha!

Excellent repair service. Came on time; told me exactly what was wrong with my refigerator;; showed me another area that was about to have a problem; had the parts to fix everything and was very reasonably priced. Cleaned up the work area completely when the job was done and thanked me for my business. Could not ask for more.
